On July 5, 2017 held a conference on «NATO from Warsaw to Brussels. Human security and the reforms of security sector in Armenia» in Best Western Congress hotel. During the conference the representative of Coalition to Stop violence against women Zaruhi Hovhannisyan presented her speech on «Human security and the security sector reform in Armenia in the frames of NATO-Armenia cooperation». She introduced the imperfection of RA legal system in the framework of Human security from the point of equality and antidiscrimination policy. The speaker highlighted the importance of legal reforms and mentioned that in terms of human rights protection it is vital to accept the legislation about the prevention of domestic violence and antidiscrimination.

During the conference delivered the speeches German ambassador to RA Matthias Kiesler, Poland ambassador to RA Jerzy Nowakowski, Great Britain ambassador to RA Judith Farnworth, head of the Regional Studies Center Richard Giragosian, director of the International Center for Human Development Tevan Poghosyan, RA deputy Artak Zeynalyan, head of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor Office Artur Sakunts and head of the external commision of Armenian National Congress party, as well.
