Julietta died in April 2014, at the age of 52. Her sister told us her life story after her death in an interview with us.

Julietta was regularly subjected to humiliation and torture during her married life by her husband, who was almost always under the influence of alcohol. We tried to intervene, to help her in some way, but we never managed.  Initially she did not divorce her husband because she did not want to let children remain without a father, even though children were victims of his cruel treatment. Some years later, when the children left their father’s house, they suggested their mother to leave the monster, but for some reason she did not listen to them. She had some problems with health two years ago, ten it revealed she had HIV. It was clear: it was serial present by her husband. Though my sister got ill because of his behavior, he neither felt guilty, nor let her take the medication prescribed by the doctor. He periodically beat my sister. There always were bruises and wounds in the different parts of her body. But she used to find reasons to justify the monster.  It was in March. I could not contact my sister for some days. My second sister and I decided to go to her place to understand what was happening.  We witnessed a terrible scene. My sister was lying in bed, there was a piece of bread and a glass of water at the bad, he was shouting at her, beating by hands and feet. It was terrible. We tried to rid her. We called for the police. He was arrested. My sister told me, that he had not let her eat nothing else bread and drink water for almost a week. She was 52, but she looked like 70. A day later he was released, arguing that there were no bases for to arrest him. I don’t even know what kind of bases they need to punish the culprit. After some days my sister died of serious illness, wounds and hunger. But the monster lives in a very comfortable way till now…
