Job description 

 

  • Ensuring general oversight and everyday management of the project
  • Building external partnerships, representing Coalition in local and international platforms
  • Ensuring Coalition’s and member organizations’ compliance with EU regulations and requirements
  • Contributing to periodic monitoring of Coalition’s member organizations’ implementation of activities under the project 
  • Ensuring communication with project stakeholders, Coalition’s staff and the Board of directors
  • Coordinating various activities of the project and ensuring project visibility by working closely and supervising Project assistant/Communications officer
  • Developing interim, year-end and final narrative reports of the project
  • Ensuring synergies between sub-grant activities and sub-grantees
  • Hiring project’s external evaluators and other outsourced HR in consultation with project’s core team and Coalition’s Board of directors
  • Working closely with project’s Financial and grants manager, Project assistant/Communications officer, Coalition’s coordinator and accountant 
  • Reporting to Coalition’s coordinator and the Board of directors
  • Participating in Coalition’s awareness raising, capacity building and advocacy events outside of the project
  • Contributing to the growth, visibility, successful advocacy, internal and external development of the Coalition as a unity of NGOs working on women’s rights and gender issues.

 

Required knowledge and experience

 

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in social science, legal and human rights matters and/or other related field with a focus on gender equality
  • At least four years of relevant professional experience in the field of project management with local or international civil society organizations
  • Working experience in the area of gender issues is required
  • Working experience in EU supported projects and knowledge on EU regulations including visibility regulations is required
  • Excellent knowledge of Armenian and English
  • Great communication and public speaking skills
  • Ability to coordinate a team and work individually
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Great sense of commitment and ability to work in a flexible and resilient environment
  • Knowledge on issues related to women’s rights, gender equality and gender based violence  
  • Gender sensitivity and desire to bring about a positive change in the field of women’s rights.
