On November 28th we organized events in Gavar. Though we informed the Mayor of Gavar about our actions in the central square of Gavar and there was no obstacles, but as soon as we started our exhibition in the square, the policemen came and tried to take us away from there, because Serj Sargsyan’s arrival to Gavar coincided with our arrival, and it was unacceptable to make campaign while president was there for them. We resisted for a long time for our right of being there, because we had the letter from municipality and it was illegal to move us away. Later they warned us that they would bring a water-machine to make us leave that place under pressure, and they would beat us. As we had some young volunteers with us, we didn’t want to put them in danger, we left the square and went to the market place, as also they were going to close the square where nobody could come closer. In market place, where our exhibition took place, we met fewer women than men. In Gavar, as we were informed, women don’t go to the market because of the patriarchal society.
